Dr. Ton Chuong

Dr. Ton Chuong completed his Honours Bachelor Degree (HBSc) in Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Toronto in 1994. He then worked for a biotech company to help get FDA approval for breast cancer screening before continuing his education in dentistry. Dr. Chuong received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Toronto in the year 2000.

Dr. Chuong is an experienced, caring, hardworking, conscientious and, most importantly, a gentle dentist. He loves working with children and is equally passionate about the elderly as shown in his experience giving care at a retirement home. He has worked at several dental offices in Toronto and in Uxbridge before making Newmarket Dental Health his primary dental clinic. Dr. Chuong joined Dr. Hui’s dental office in 2003, and then the Emergency department of South Lake Regional Hospital in 2004 and is an active member of the dental surgery team. Dr. Chuong strives for excellence in dentistry and delivering exceptional dental care for his patients. Dr. Chuong is committed to professional development by taking countless hours of continuing education in orthodontics, endodontic, periosurgery lectures, and hands-on courses in the latest dental advancements to improve his knowledge and skills to provide better care for his patients. Dr. Chuong is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Association.

Dr. Chuong was born in Vietnam and came to Canada in 1979 as a boat refugee escaping from the war-torn, communist country of Vietnam. Dr. Chuong considers himself very fortunate and grateful to be accepted to Canada as a young boy without a word of English, no money and only the clothes on his back. He considers himself blessed to serve the dental profession. He is very thankful for the many Canadians that had helped him and his family along the way. He could not have achieved his goals without their support.

Dr. Chuong is married to an optometrist, Dr. Karen Ho, and they have two sons, Jayden and Ashton and a daughter Nadia. Dr. Chuong enjoys snowboarding, hockey, and the occasional video games with his kids.
